Old favourites (folk/fairy tales), stories celebrating diversity, encouraging audience participation, personal stories, stories from other lands and cultures (in particular African folk tales) and storytelling incorporating song and dance.

Cynthia has been working in the early childhood profession for 20 years and believes passionately in the impact storytelling has on all areas of children's development. Together with her basket, apron filled with puppets, felt board, masks, hats and other "surprises", Cynthia engages the children in joining her in a journey of making story time come alive, fun and interactive.

Cynthia conducts storytelling workshops for early childhood educators.

AUTHOR

Cynthia is the author of "Safina and the Hat Tree", a picture book, based on her personal cancer journey. It is a wonderful resource for young children and families experiencing cancer.
