Workshop Day - The Storytellers’ Space

12.00pm - Story circle - A chance to try out a story in progress and receive some feedback. First time tellers welcome.                                                                                       1.15pm - Lunch                                                                                                                         2-4pm Workshop  - 'The Storytellers’ Space'

A workshop to explore how the storyteller can use their space consciously to enhance their storytelling. Discover the diverse qualities that inhabit the different spaces around you and how to use them effectively to enrich your story. Have fun with practical exercises to promote your awareness of space and, discover what undermines and what enhances a storytelling performance.

Bring a familiar story to work with, your curiosity and your sense of adventure for a fun afternoon workshop.

Facilitators - Australian storyteller Lindy Mitchell and Swedish storyteller Ulf Nilsson are Heart to Heart Storytelling. They share stories and facilitate workshops in Australia, UK and Sweden. They perform regularly at folk festivals, environmental events, community events, schools and pre-schools.

Come for both the Story Circle and the workshop or the workshop alone.

Venue: Don Banks Museum - 6 Napier St, North Sydney NSW 2060.  The museum is located in the heart of the North Sydney CBD, less than ten minutes walk from North Sydney Railway Station and is also close to bus stops on Miller Street and Pacific Highway.
