‘Food Stories- Disasters and Delights’ - Community Storytelling.
I thought my first attempt looked good but when I tasted it I was surprised. Was the surprise one that indicated a disaster or a triumph? So often when we experiment with cooking we get an unanticipated result or perhaps when we go to a restaurant and we taste something we've never had before our taste buds bring a grimace or a smile to our face. Is there a funny experience from childhood years or even last week where food took a starring role? .. your first smell of a durian or first taste of a Vegemite sandwich?
Is there a loving memory or a bizarre twist attached to your food encounter? Come and join us and share tales from your kitchen, street market, fancy restaurant, travel food adventures or backyard barbecue.
We all have a memorable story about food. We buy it, prepare it, cook it, eat it, share it with others. What delights or mishaps will you bring to the storytelling table? Experienced tellers and those new to storytelling are welcome. Come with a prepared story to tell or join as a listener and enjoy meeting people with tales from different places and cultures.
