Family Traditions - Five Minute Stories

Do you have a family tradition that contributes to your identity?.. a tradition that is unique to your own or extended family or cultural group that occurs at anniversaries, birthdays, wedding ceremony, holidays, religious festivals, cultural celebrations, Sunday lunch, Mother’s day, change of season, coming of age etc.? Do you have a special song, dance, ceremony, meal, an activity that connects you as a family?

Is there a story in folklore that captures the place of ritual and tradition for people?

Join us online from anywhere in the world and share a story of UP TO FIVE minutes in length.  Your story can be a personal tale, a legend, a folktale or any other type of story on the theme of “Family Traditions”

Experienced tellers and those new to storytelling are welcome. Come with a prepared story to tell or join as a listener and enjoy meeting people with tales from different places and cultures.
