Six Minute Stories or Six Word Stories - Community Oral Storytelling
Can you capture the essence of a childhood experience in just six words? It is possible ... or do you have a short personal story of a moment that can be told in 2 to 6 minutes?
What are some of your childhood memories about toys, favourite games, time spent with your friends, school events, summer holidays, family rituals, unearthing neighbourhood mysteries, significant world events etc. What do these memories tell you about who you were then and who you are now? Do they speak of challenge, discovery, fear, disappointment, accomplishment, wonder, cultural identity, playful delight, and a range of emotions?
Join us online from anywhere in the world and share a personal story of between TWO and SIX minutes in length. Our theme is ‘Childhood Memories’
Experienced tellers and those new to storytelling are welcome. Come with a prepared story to tell or join as a listener and enjoy meeting people with tales from different places and cultures.
This is a free online event organised by Australian Storytellers. Please register on Eventbrite to receive the Zoom link.
