Free Online Oral Storytelling Event
"You can do it!" Four simple words that have inspired heroes, comforted friends, encouraged dreamers, and given courage to the timid for generations.
Join us for an uplifting evening of stories celebrating determination, resilience, and the power of encouragement. Through traditional folktales, timeless legends, personal experiences, and contemporary creative tales, storytellers may share journeys of ordinary people and extraordinary characters who faced daunting challenges and discovered that they could indeed succeed.
Every story will include the words "You can do it!"—whether whispered by a wise elder, shouted by loyal companions, spoken as a promise to oneself, or offered as a lifeline in a moment of doubt.
Come and laugh, reflect, and be inspired by stories that remind us that, whatever the obstacle, a little courage and a few encouraging words can make all the difference.
Because sometimes, the most powerful thing anyone can hear is: "You can do it!"
If you would like to tell a prepared story in 5-6 minutes, email Christine Carlton at storyaus@gmail.com to be put on the list to tell a short story that includes the statement "You can do it!" The stories are told, not read.
This is a free online event organised by the Australian Storytelling Guild (NSW). Come as a listener or teller. All welcome.
Register on Humanitix to receive the Zoom link to attend the session.
