Childhood Memories - Food Stories - Community Oral Storytelling

Our previous storytelling sessions which have focused on Childhood Memories have drawn storytellers and story listeners from around the world. People sharing stories from different cultures and timeframes about childhood events and encounters brought laughter, and new understandings of different cultural experiences as well as recollections from different decades.

This time we will focus on Childhood Memories of Food.

Was a food that delighted your childhood palate still a favourite today? Was there a funny incident involving food or a family gathering to cook a dish that has been passed down over the years? Is there a smell or taste that takes you back to a childhood memorable tasty treat or event that needs to be savoured again?

Join us online from anywhere in the world and share a personal story or a folktale about food that is between TWO and FIVE minutes in length. Our theme is ‘Childhood Memories’. Or share a SIX WORD story of a childhood experience.

Experienced tellers and those new to storytelling are welcome. Come with a prepared oral story to tell or join as a listener and enjoy meeting people with tales from different places and cultures.
