Free Online Oral Storytelling Event
Join us on World Bee Day for a hive of stories, alive with sound and sweetness. This oral storytelling session will explore the many meanings of Bees—from ancient myths and folktales to personal encounters, from humming hives and golden honey to the quiet urgency of bees in our fragile ecosystem. Expect tales that sting, soothe, and surprise, alongside playful takes on spelling bees, working bees, and gatherings of shared purpose. These stories will celebrate connection, community, and the small creatures that hold the world together.
If you would like to tell a prepared story in 5-6 minutes, email Christine Carlton at storyaus@gmail.com to be put on the list to tell a short story on the theme of 'Bees'. The stories are told, not read.
This is a free online event organised by the Australian Storytelling Guild (NSW). Come as a listener or teller. All welcome.
Register on Humanitix to receive the Zoom link to attend the session.
