Storytelling: Connecting the World

This June long weekend should have been our Sydney International Storytelling Conference where we would have welcomed and shared stories with storytellers from all over Australia and the World. After much consideration we decided to postpone the Conference till 2021, and we are delighted that most of our presenters have already committed to attend.

Other conferences and festivals have gone ahead or are going ahead online. Storytellers Nsw has been invited to host an online event with Australian Storytellers by the U.S. National Storytelling Network, for their online Conference and Festival. Jo Henwood and the Fairy Tale Society have been busy organising their online Conference for the long weekend and you can catch Lilli Rodriguez-Pang's storytelling festival, Southern Skies Festival on Youtube.

Until we can share stories eye to eye, mind to mind and heart to heart, here are links to various online storytelling events and online storytellers continuing to connect world through storytelling.

Australian Fairy Tale Society Virtual Conference

Th e Australian Fairy Tale Society are hosting their Conference Magic Mirrors: The Seen and the Unseen Online They really couldn't have chosen a more appropriate theme than "Magic Mirrors: the seen and the unseen" for such a visual interaction.

Instead of having an 8 hour/1 day conference, all sitting in front of screens, they will take advantage of being on the long weekend and have 6 sessions over the 3 days: 9.30-11.30am AEST and 2-4pm AEST on Saturday 6, Sunday 7, and Monday 8 June.

All this for a flat rate of $30, about a third of the usual cost, for nearly a third more content.
