SHARE YOUR VOICE, TELL YOUR STORY
Listen to short podcast interviews that spotlight Australian Storytellers members. Each month a different member will tell a short story which will then be followed by the host asking three questions to find out more about the guest teller’s style, storytelling interest, or particular skill.
The great thing about ‘Australian Storytellers’ is that we have members from different countries, cultures and lived experiences. We often enjoy a variety of styles and genres from our members who use storytelling in a number of different contexts.
In this episode, Michael Patterson interviews Dorothy Makasa a Zambian Grandmother who loves to tell tales with heart, meaning, and humour. She tells traditional folktales from Zambia and other African countries as well as personal stories. Hear Dorothy tell one of her tales and then listen to Michael and Dorothy chat about passing on stories from her African culture.
